Tesco has announced it is adding slots to its home delivery and click & collect services this week, as a result of the weeks of panic buying and cyber queues created by COVID-19. Tesco says it’s increased the number of delivery slots by 150,000 over the past week. It comes after the supermarket’s CEO Dave Lewis urged customers who are well enough to leave delivery slots.
This morning the supermarket released slots for the week starting 21 December - but only to their delivery saver customers who pay a subscription fee.
But after waking up to log on at 7am, many complained they had still not been given a slot after two-and-a-half hours of waiting.
